STANISLAUS CIVITAN CLUB 2008 OFFICER OF THE YEAR AWARDS CEREMONY

MODESTO, CA - The Stanislaus Civitan Club is hosting its annual “Law Day” program to recognize law enforcement officers in Stanislaus County. This year’s event will be on Thursday May 14, 2009 at The Seasons located at 945 McHenry Avenue in Modesto. The luncheon awards ceremony will start at 12:00 noon. The cost of the luncheon is $15.00 and tickets can be purchased at the door. This year’s recipients of the Civitan 2008 Officer of the Year Award from the Sheriff’s Department are:

Deputy John Howard- Hughson Police Services

Deputy Michael Fisher- Patterson Police Services

Deputy Robert Rowe- Riverbank Police Services

Deputy Marcia Matos- Waterford Police Services

Deputy Tom Fara, K-9- Stanislaus Sheriff’s Department

"We are proud of all our deputies for their commitment and service to the community," said Sheriff Adam Christianson. "This award is a symbol of the appreciation the community has for law enforcement and for the deputies that go above and beyond the call of duty."
