UPDATE ON GRAYSON HOMICIDE FROM MONDAY

March 19, 2009



GRAYSON, CA - Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating the homicide that occurred on Monday March 16, 2009 in the town of Grayson. Deputies responded to a shooting at the One-Stop Market on Grayson Road. Deputies located the victim, 19-year-old Moses ALVARADO of Grayson, in the parking lot. ALVARADO was transported to a Modesto area hospital, but later died from his injuries.

During the investigation, detective determined the shooting incident occurred along the San Joaquin River a few miles away from the One-Stop Market. Detectives believe ALVARADO went to the river with friends when they were involved in an altercation with a group of 5-6 males. During the altercation, shots were fired and ALVARADO was struck. ALVARADO’s friends drove him to the One-Stop Market where they called for help.

Detective have limited suspect information, but are looking for a pewter, late 90’s model GMC Yukon SUV with 22” wheels.
