SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT REGIONAL ACADEMY GRADUATION CEREMONY

December 18, 2008



MODESTO, CA - The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Regional Training Center in partnership with San Joaquin Delta College is proud to announce the graduation Police Academy Class 169. The graduation ceremony will be on Friday December 19, 2008 at 1:00 pm. Over 500 family, friends, and guest are expected to attend this event.

The class will graduate with 42 cadets who have complete 24 weeks of intense physical and mental training. Of the 42 cadets graduating, 16 of them are sponsored and have jobs waiting for them after graduation. Agencies sponsoring cadets include; Modesto PD (2), Newman PD (1), Tracy PD (1), San Joaquin County Sheriff (5), Stanislaus County Sheriff (1), and El Dorado County Sheriff (6). Chiefs and Sheriff’s will be swearing in their new officers and deputies during the graduation ceremonies. The graduation ceremony will be on Friday, December 19, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Big Valley Grace Church located at 4040 Tully Road in Modesto Ca.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Regional Training Center offers several courses to members of the public who are interested in public safety or who just want to sharpen their skills. Those courses include a Public Safety Leadership Institute for talented youth interested in public safety or criminal justice careers, a Drivers Safety course for drivers 16 years old and older, and an Academy Challenge physical fitness course.
