SAN JOSE, CA - Detectives from Riverbank Police Services and the San Jose Police Department arrested 3 people Tuesday morning after serving a search warrant at a home in the 1600 block of Terilyn Ave in San Jose. The warrant was issued after Riverbank Police Detectives received information about pirated, bootlegged, and counterfeit DVD’s and CD being sold at flea markets in Ceres, Modesto, and Turlock.
The investigation lead detectives to a house in San Jose, where detectives believe the counterfeit DVD’s and CD’s were being produced. Early Tuesday morning, Detectives from Riverbank and San Jose Police Departments, Stanislaus County Probation Department, and members from the Motion Broadcasting and Recording Broadcasting industry served the search warrant at the home in the1600 block of Terilyn Ave in San Jose. Inside detectives found over 200,000 DVD’s and CD’s valued over 1.5 million dollars. All the equipment needed to copy and produce counterfeit DVD’s and CD’s were also found inside the home.
Detectives arrested Julio Cesar FLORES-DIAZ (06-22-1987) and Ricardo Martin DOMINGO (08-18-1987) both from San Jose. Both suspect were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for 653w PC, failure to disclose origin of recording work, and 350(a) PC, manufacture or sale of counterfeit mark. Both are being held with a 1 million dollar bail. A third suspect was arrested as he drove up to the house as investigators were inside. Brayna Colorado GARCIA (03-02-1984) was arrested and also booked for 653w PC, 350(a) PC and an additional charge of 148.9 PC, giving false identification to a peace officer.
