- SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT ASSIGNS DEPUTY TO COMMUNITY OF DEL RIO

Modesto, CA - Sheriff Adam Christianson is pleased to announce the
opening of the Del Rio Community Deputy Office. Del Rio Country Club
management graciously donated space for the community deputy’s office.
The office is located adjacent to the tennis pro office at the Del Rio
Country Club. The public is invited to a grand opening of the office on
Thursday March 6, 2008 from 12:30-3:00pm. Sheriff's Department
specialty teams will be providing static displays on the country club
facilities.
Assigning deputies back into the communities is an ongoing commitment by Sheriff Christianson to provide an increased level of service to the public. “Our department exists for no other purpose than to serve and protect our community,” said Sheriff Christianson “and we believe that community policing is a valuable tool. Those deputies, assigned to communities in unincorporated areas of the County, will be more effective in dealing with crime and public safety issues.”
The Sheriff’s Department currently has community deputies assigned to the following communities:

- Empire
- Keyes
- North McHenry Ave/ Del Rio
- La Grange/Hickman
- Weed & Seed/ Westley Housing Authority
The following communities will have deputies assigned to them later this year:
- South Modesto
- Denair
- Diablo Grande
