| The slogan "Welcome Back Sheriff"
was an appropriate theme for the grand opening of the
Knights Ferry Sheriff Substation on October 5, 1997. The
last time the Sheriff had an office in Knights Ferry was
1871, and although the location has changed from days
gone by, we are easily located inside the Knights Ferry
Station 2 Firehouse. The community deputy can be reached to help resolve area issues at (209) 881-0410. (As always in an emergency dial 911, but for non-emergency needs when the deputy is not available dial (209) 575-7912.) Along with office responsibilities, the community deputy's beat includes rural area of Rodden Road, Orange Blossom Road, the Oakdale Golf and County Club, as well as the Knights Ferry area. The sub-station is staffed several hours a week by the Sheriff's STARS volunteers to help answer any questions. This office, along with others, allow the Sheriffs Department to better serve Stanislaus County. |
