PHYSICAL AGILITY  (Only for Deputy position, Sheriff Coroner, Reserve and Custodial)

 For Custodial

  • Agility - From starting point while wearing a SCBA, lift and drag a 165 pound life-like sand dummy 20 feet.  Drop dummy and climb stair case, touching each step, to second floor.  Continue running 50 yards to finish line in 30 seconds or less.
  • 10-11 Run - Run approx. 235 yards in 45 seconds or less.

For Patrol

  • 500 Yard Run  -  Run 500 yards in 2 minutes or less
  • 99 Yard Obstacle Course -  Run a 99 yard obstacle course, consisting of several sharp turns, a number of curb height obstacles, and a 34 inch high obstacle that must be vaulted.  Complete in 25 seconds or less.
  • Body Drag  -  Lift and drag a 165 pound life-like sand dummy 32 feet in 20 seconds or less.
  • Chain Link Fence  -  Run 5 yards to a 6-foot chain link fence, climb over fence and continue running for 25 yards.  Completion Required, no time limit.
  • Solid Wood Fence  -  Run 5 yards to a 6-foot wooden fence, climb over fence and continue running for 25 yards. Completion Required, no time limit.
ORAL INTERVIEW
  • Formal Interview by a panel of three to four people.
  • Dress Appropriately

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION
  • Personal History Statement
  • Intensive Investigation  -  Employment, Education, Personal, Financial, Legal History.
