LT. JIM GORDON
Stanislaus County Sheriff's Regional Training Division
Lt. Jim Gordon serves as the Commander of the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Regional Training Division and Training Manager and Field Training Program Coordinator for the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department.  Lt. Gordon was honorably discharged after 6 years of service in the United States Coast Guard, with stations including Miami, Florida conducting anti-smuggling operations in the Caribbean.  Over his municipal law enforcement career, Lt. Gordon has served in several positions centered around new officer training including patrol services, field training officer, FTO sergeant, patrol  sergeant/watch commander, administrative services, and finally assuming his current role.  He has completed his Associate in Arts degree in Administration of Justice and is currently completing his Bachelor's program.  Lt. Gordon is a POST Master Instructor Program candidate, scheduled for graduation in March, 2006.  Lt. Gordon also serves as a part-time instructor at the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Regional Training Division.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Regional Training Division is located at 3805 Cornucopia Way, Modesto, Ca  95358.  

The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Regional Training Division is a cooperative effort among the Modesto Police Department (MPD) and the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department (SCSD).  

The Training Center was built in 1997 and was designed to be a state-of-the-art training facility for peace and correctional officers.
