Captain Tim Beck began his journey in law enforcement as an Explorer with the Escalon Police Department in 1981. He was hired as a full-time Escalon Police Officer in 1984. Tim's career with the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department began in 1988 when he was hired as a patrol deputy. He worked several different assignments until his promotion to Sergeant in 1997. As a Sergeant, his most memorable assignment was supervising the homicide team in the Crimes Against Persons unit. Later, he worked at Riverbank Police Services as a patrol supervisor until his promotion to Lieutenant in 2005. As a manager, one of Tim's assignments included working with the S.W.A.T., team as a tactical commander on S.W.A.T., operations. He was later appointed as Chief of Riverbank Police Services and served the Riverbank community until his promotion to Captain in 2008. Tim gets the most satisfaction from his job when he knows that his people are well-served by him and that the community is well-served by his people. |
