ADMINISTRATION DIVISION

Captain Raul DeLeon began his career as an
Explorer Scout at the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department in 1974.
In 1978 he went to work as a Police Officer for the City of Ceres and in
1980 he returned to the Sheriff's Department as a Deputy Sheriff.
He has worked in many different assignments including Bailiff,
Detective, Undercover Drug Agent, Homicide Investigator, and D.A.R.E.
Officer. In addition, he has been on special teams such as the
SWAT team, the Underwater Recovery Team, the Hostage Negotiation Team
and the Stanislaus Drug Enforcement Agency. After being promoted
to Sergeant in 1994 he worked in Patrol, Special Services and the
Courts. In 1997 he was promoted to Lieutenant and was first
assigned as an Area Commander. In 1999 he graduated from the FBI
National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. He has served as
Patrol Operations Commander, in charge of all the Sheriff's Patrol
Operations, including the contract cities of Patterson, Hughson,
Riverbank and Waterford, as well as the Support Services of Records,
Identification Detail and Evidence.
Captain DeLeon has served as the Detention Facilities
Commander and Operations Division Commander. Currently Captain Raul DeLeon is assigned as commander of the Administration Division. |

The responsibility for the overall administration of departmental operations and coordination of departmental activities lies within the Administrative Division. Inherent in the task is the responsibility of budgeting, procurement, planning, and personnel assignment. The Division continually strives to find effective ways to administer the affairs of the department and improve the structure and operating procedures of the organization. Within the Administrative Division is the Personnel and Training section. It is responsible for the administration of over 600 employees. |
