DARRELL FREITAS

Lt. Darrell Freitas began his career in law enforcement with the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office in 1980.  In 1987 Lt. Freitas joined the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office. He has been assigned to Patrol, Investigations and served as the Chief Deputy Coroner. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2004.

Lt. Darrell Freitas has been a member of the Bomb Squad for 15 years. Currently, he is the Director of Homeland Security for the Sheriff’s Department, with responsibility for homeland security and terrorism issues for the office and is part of the county Office of Emergency Services and the Domestic Preparedness working group.
